Small-sized housing is our present and, probably, future. The more small apartments appear, the more relevant are the techniques for visually expanding the space.
High doors
This technique works in any, even the most modest room: high doors add light and volume.
New technologies allow you to make any canvas – three meters and higher. Doors to the ceiling look especially impressive, since they are not pressed down by horizontal crossbars of the frame from above. It seems that they never end.
Restrained color scheme of the interior
Multicolor is a luxury available only to large spaces. Restrained color schemes are more suitable for small ones. In my opinion, in such apartments you should not use more than two or three colors. And in general, the smaller the space, the fewer shades it should have.
Proportions are also important: 60% is the main tone, 30% is an additional tone and 10% is an accent tone.
Minimum materials in finishing
Small room – minimum materials. Another simple rule that should not be broken, so as not to make the room even smaller.
For example, different floor coverings “cut” the floor. It is better to immediately choose one material and use it throughout the entire apartment, except for the bathroom. I recommend engineered board to customers – a pleasant to the touch and practical material. Do not be afraid to put it in the kitchen: it is not afraid of water if you remove it in time. This distinguishes engineered board from laminate, which swells even from minor leaks. If the budget is limited, I advise you to lay quartz vinyl from a good manufacturer – a comfortable, wear-resistant material that is not afraid of moisture.
