Sealing interpanel joints with sealing
When developing a project of a panel house, it was planned to carry out scheduled measures to process seams between panels. Nowadays, the residents of panel houses have to think about this problem, since the joints between the panels flow, which gives people a lot of inconvenience. According to technology, interpanel joints should be covered with a sealing composition, in practice they will simply cement. When repairing such houses, no one thought about the consequences. The result was logical, concrete crumbled and crackled. The joints began to pass heat, drafts arose in the rooms, the rain and water softened the material, the fungus and mold did not force themselves to wait. All these problems can be solved by sealing seams.
This set of work is aimed at protecting the joint from getting wet and freezing. Sealing of different types is used. There is superficial if the heat insulator in the seams is in good condition. In fact, it is a new mastic on the old. Waterproofing sealing in case of damage to the old mastic can be performed. With this option, the old mastic is removed. Next, cleaning to concrete is carried out, mastic is applied. The heat insulator during such a repair is considered stored or in satisfactory condition. The most difficult thing is sealing with insulation. The builders give this procedure different names, but the essence does not change and is to eliminate the old heat insulator and mastic. The insulation is completely changed and applied mastic. There is often nothing to delete – everything has rotted. Sometimes in the seams you can see pieces of newspaper paper and other household material.
