Glass magnesium sheets: concept, application and properties

Glass magnesium sheet is structural, sound and heat isolating, decorative finishing material. It is made of magnesium chloride and oxide (burned magnesia), volcanic glass fibers, reinforced with basalt grid. Thanks to this composition, and depending on the percentage of the components, it has different density and strength, which divides it into structural and finishing. SML is available 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 20 mm, a density of 1050 – 1100 kg per meter cubic and 900 – 960 kg per meter cubic. Glass magnesium sheet with a density of 1050- 1100 kg/m cubic has the following characteristics:- in dry form, the strength with a bend is 13.2 grams;- in a humid state, the strength during the bend is 10.6 grams;- a change in the form in the wet state- no more 0.2 %;- combustibility (GOST 30244-94 SNiP 21-01-97)- NG (non-combustible);- shock viscosity- more than 2 kJ/m square;- thermal conductivity- 0.26 W/m.

In terms of strength, flexibility, sound insulation, water -repellent properties, it is several times higher than drywall, has an absolutely even surface, ready for finishing work, easily attached using drywall technology or glue.
