Aerated concrete blocks are a convenient and practical structural and-insulating building material, which is successfully used in both the low and multi-storey construction. They are produced both smooth and with crests and grooves, which greatly facilitates the masonry. Gas blocks are made accurate dimensions and can fit into special glue from mineral substances, do not require additional finishing materials.
Gas blocks are characterized by good heat, soundproofing properties, frost-resistant, non-combustible, biologically stable, do not give shrinkage.
Gas blocks are easy to cram, drill, cut and saw with conventional tools. They have high adhesion to other building materials: varnishes, paints, plaster, adhesives.
The most attractive advantages of gas concrete blocks are low thermal conductivity, fire resistance, small weight, relative environmental friendliness. The peculiarity that must be taken into account during construction in order to avoid trouble is high vapor permeability and hygroscopicity. The material is unsuitable for the construction of buildings that can be subjected to constant effects of high humidity.
