Installation foam has a fairly large number of positive qualities. It is perfect for strengthening and insulation of structures, but if its excess is not immediately eliminated, this will lead to a failure of a lot of problems. Having hardened, the foam will spoil the appearance of the door and in this case it will be very difficult to remove. To fabricate the surface from the residues of the foam, you need a metal brush. It must be used very carefully, slightly removing the foam. Otherwise, you risk scratching the door.
The foam spot should be treated with a scrap. Before using a special cleaning agent, be sure to put on gloves and respirator. If the spot is small – it can be cleaned with a razor blade.
It is not recommended to use a knife. On the other hand, if the appearance of the door does not matter to you, then most of the frozen foam can be cut off with its help.
If the door is painted or layered, during processing, special care should be observed. A cleaning product can interact with paint and varnishes, soften them or dissolve. In order to avoid this trouble, experience the action of the substance on the least noticeable door section.
If the foam hit the door recently and has not yet had time to freeze, you can try to remove it with acetone. However, this method is not applicable to plastic doors, it can greatly harm it.
