Methods and technology for laying out the window opening
Laying out openings is a rather difficult task for beginner builders. The dimensions of the opening must comply with the project of the house. The construction is performed by two methods – using a corner or formwork. The use of formwork allows you to create complex and wide structures of window openings. The metal corner somewhat simplifies the work to create openings up to 2 m wide.
A full opening is obtained by arranging a jumper between the two parts of the wall. The ordinary jumper continues the masonry and is arranged on the basis of formwork and additional reinforcement. Metal rod enters the opening of 25 cm on each side. The height of the parties to the opening is adjusted to vary the thickness of the seams. The basis of the jumper is a metal corner that will hold bricks in a horizontal position.
The basis of a wide opening is usually 5 cm board, on top of which the formwork is installed. Concrete is poured with on top of the reinforcement, the rods of which must be made on both sides of the opening. Reinforced concrete will be a base for the lower row of brickwork above the window. After the concrete hardening, the formwork is dismantled and there remains a jumper of concrete.
