Advantages and disadvantages of foam concrete: what to take into account This modern building material simultaneously combines the properties of wood and stone. Foam concrete is able to regulate the level of humidity, absolutely not subject to the decay process, not grief, does not rust. In a scale of environmentally friendly materials, foam concrete takes second place, giving way to only wood in quality.

Foam concrete is able to regulate the level of humidity, absolutely not subject to the decay process, not grief, does not rust. According to the content of heavy metals and a number of radionuclides, foam concrete corresponds to all established sanitary-hygienic construction standards (the indicator is less than the norm by 10 times). Such building material is easy to cut, cut, strict and drilled.

Foam concrete is significantly ahead of many building materials on heat accumulating properties. For example, the thickness of the external wall of foam concrete of 500 mm corresponds to the properties of brickwork in 1950 mm.

The main advantage of foam concrete is its efficiency: in cost, the wall of such material costs 55 percent cheaper than a brick wall, while its quality will be much higher.

For the manufacture of foam concrete blocks, sand, cement, foaming agent and water are used. Small weight, quite large sizes of ready -made foam concrete blocks allow to significantly reduce temporary and labor costs for construction.
