Phased alignment of the floors and its advantages
The floor screed is carried out with the aim of aligning the surface, which in the future will serve as the basis for flooring (linoleum, carpet, cork coating and others). Paul drops in height can reach 5 centimeters, and sometimes more. To correctly determine the thickness of the screed and install the beacons, you must definitely take into account these differences. To do this, use a laser level, and used to use a water level. We set the beacons at the same level (we go along the hats) self -tapping screws, suitable length. We fill with empty space with a solution lower than hats of self -tapping screws. Based on the rule (equalizer) on screws, we make an even site for the beacons. Install a metal beacon (V-shaped profile with holes) on this site and glue with a liquid solution.
We install the beacons so that the rule is blocked with a margin. Again check the level in height. The screed formed between the beacons is filled with the solution. With a thickness thickness of more than 4 centimeters, it needs to be stained with expanded clay in it. This reduces the weight of the screed and the probability of its cracking, improves sound and thermal insulation. When using expanded clay, screed is carried out in two passes. Initially, we lay (2 centimeters below the beacons) the main layer of the screed with expanded clay. So that expanded clay does not surf, let the layer dry slightly. Pull out (pour) with a clean solution on top. We level the floor with the rule, leaning on the beacons, pulling off the excess solution. Here is the name – screed! On the finished screed is not recommended to walk for several days. To make drying evenly, the screed is covered with polyethylene. Somewhere after 30 – 40 days, the screed will completely get stronger.
