Technology and stages of self -alignment of the floor
It is necessary to align the floor so that in the future not to spoil the finish coating. The modern building materials market offers a wide selection of floor leveling technologies, starting from traditional cement screed and ending with self -leveling mixtures. The first stage of alignment begins with the measurement of the floor level, this can be done using a laser device or a normal level. With a difference of more than5 cm, it is better to use a cement screed or moisture -resistant plywood, if the difference is small, it is better to use bulk mixtures.
Before pouring cement screed, the surface is necessarily primed to save it from fragility. Next, prepare the solution with a cement, sifted sand and water, and if desired, you can add plasticizers or a reinforcing fiber. After completely drying out, this is approximately 30 days, the surface must be treated with fixing soil, this will give good wear resistance to the base. If a moisture -resistant plywood is selected for screed, then it is attached on the base of the floor and fixed with dowels, so even a beginner can cope with this task. If a self -leveling mixture is chosen for the base, then it must be diluted with water in the indicated proportions and pour the floor with it, and after 48 hours your base is ready for finishing.
