Methods for eliminating damage and cracks in the parquet board
Before starting the repair, carefully inspect the parquet board for damage, cracks and potholes. If some boards are staggering, drive nails into them so that their hats are drowned in the holes for nails. If the floorboards creak, drill holes for wooden pins between them. Before inserting the pin, do not forget to lubricate it with glue. The protruding edges of the pin are cut off by a chisel, if necessary.
Now you can start putting places with pins and cracks directly. Putty can be made from varnish yourself, and for convenience to use a cardboard stencil. After all the places are plunged, you can proceed to the cycle and grinding parquet boards.
The cyclist can be produced both by hand and a special machine. Manually cycle parquet is quite tiring, and purchasing a parquet-grinding machine is expensive, so it is more advisable to rent it or contact specialized firms for help.
For grinding the floor, you will need an electric floor. At the brush of a cloth, attach the sandpaper with the fabric base. If you do not have such an instrument, use the old proven way – with your feet with your feet.
At the end, several layers of primer are applied to the parquet, and then the varnish. A brush or roller is used to apply varnish, and each intermediate layer is processed with sandpaper to eliminate roughnesses.
