Previously, chandeliers in our apartments were attached as follows. There was a small hole in the ceiling, from which the wiring cable came out. Two hooks went with a chandelier in the kit, which were put into the hole and diluted in different directions. It turned out that the chandelier hangs on a rather rude device, far from always reliable. Now this method of fastening can still be found, but the bar is increasingly using.
The essence is the following – two holes are drilled along the edges with a small indent. With the help of self -tapping screws, a metal bar is fixed in these holes. And the chandelier itself is attached to this bar itself. There are many methods of attaching to the bar, they depend on the design of the chandelier, but this does not change the essence.
The bar helps to press the chandelier more tightly to the ceiling (which hooks can not always make), it is also easier to disguise it. This is the only way you will be able to hang a lamp that does not hang down, but is under the very ceiling. But the plank has an important drawback. The diameter of the hole from which the wiring comes out can be very large and the length of the bar is not enough to block it. Then you need to either select a chandelier of the corresponding dimensions at the base, or use the good old hooks.
