Saudi Arabia has warned that foreign tourists who overstay their entry visas will be subject to heavy fines, Arabian Business reports. The fines will amount to SR50,000 or $13,300.
The Interior Ministry announced that tourists who fail to leave the country after their visas expire could face a fine, up to six months in prison, and deportation.
All Umrah pilgrims must leave the country by April 29, 2025. After that date, Umrah permits will be suspended until June 10, 2025.
In addition, only those with Hajj visas will be allowed to enter and stay in Mecca.
