Minimization of heat loss by warming windows and doors
To minimize heat loss through cracks in the windows, they usually use the sealing of these cracks for the period of winter frosts using newspapers or other materials. For these purposes, special compaction materials have been developed, allowing after independent gluing all the cracks to maintain the functionality of all windows. Special sealants can also be used, which are designed to smear the places of attachment of the glass. If finances allow, then you can resort to a more radical method – install modern plastic windows. The costs of this method are noticeable, but they are worth.
For doors, almost the same methods are used as for window insulation. The doors can be made rather tight if all the openings are laid out with special seals. When installing new doors, special attention is paid to the density of the installation of the door box. Most often after strengthening the box, it is additionally isolated by building foam. After the foam dries, it forms a fairly good thermal insulation for the interior.

There are no ready -made universal solutions, the search for a solution to this issue should be approached comprehensively, investing serious means. But over time, money spent more than pay off.
