If you want to “lay” the floor yourself, then be sure to read our article. After all, laying linoleum has certain nuances, not knowing which, one can ruin the material and the appearance of the room.
Let’s start laying with the preparation of the base.
Linoleum is not capricious – it can be laid on almost any even base. If you had wooden floors at home, then before laying a new coating, it is necessary to nail and fix all the boards so that they do not talk. The slightest deformation of the old flooring can lead to damage and tearing linoleum.
Plywood sheets are placed upstairs, or thick cardboard. Now you can lay linoleum.
But more popular is the flooring on the concrete screed. To begin with, you need to use the level to determine how much your flat floor is. If there are 20% and more irregularities, it is necessary to align the base. To do this, fill the concrete-cement mortar, distribute it throughout the area of the room and wait for the drying out. The height of the screed should not exceed 5 cm.
Then, we apply a layer of self -leveling mixture to relatively even floors, not exceeding a height of 2 cm. Especially thoroughly you need to level the floors in the corners, and make sure that all angles are 90 degrees.
